I returned in 1946 at the age of 5 years.<br /><br />My father (Adolf) known as Ardie Schmidt, was Headmaster of Malaguna Technical School and Director of New Guinea Education on New Britain.<br /><br />I was taken in 1947 with my mother and the New Guineans, lined up the mountains and showed us where my father had been executed. I was also taken to other execution sites.<br /><br />When I returned in 2007 I went back to where my father had been executed.<br /><br />If you are interested in bringing your boys home who are listed as MIA's, who were captured and died terrible deaths. There was Unit 731 in Rabaul.<br /><br />I have a copy of War Crime files with many of US Serviceman listed.
